We may be a NEW player in the jerky business, but our interest in making beef jerky goes back over a decade. It started with a internet recipe and a basic dehydrator. Homemade “Rotten Ron’s Roadkill” (RRR) jerky (Raging Ron's Hot) started appearing at canoe trips, parties, and on the trail in 1999. As the years passed, the original soy and smoke flavored recipe was tweaked, and RRR evolved with a trend toward increased heat. Packaging and labelling were provided by one-gallon plastic bags that were marked “REGULAR”, “XXX, and “XXXXX”. As more was consumed, more interest developed. So now we are making it - five varieties actually - using strips of lean USA beef and tasty brines resulting in Daisy's Sweet & Hot, Dopey Doug’s Hickory Smoked, Raging Ron’s Hot, Garlic Teriyaki and THERMONUCLEAR.
